Application Form

Purpose of the Competition

To support young clarinetists, to guide young artists, to pave the way for the national talents professionally and to encourage their participation in international competitions with the achievements made in this process.

Conditions of Application

1. The applicants must become members of the Istanbul Clarinet Society (ICS) before the competition application process by donating 1000 TL as an entrance fee and 600 TL in return for the annual membership fee (total 1600 TL) to the bank account of ICS at İşbank Rıhtım-Kadıköy Branch (IBAN: TR130006400000110254099617). The applicants are accepted as a temporary (1 year) member to the society. The bank receipt must be attached to the application form during the online application process and submitted together with other documents that will be requested during correspondence with the authorities.
2. Başvuru için gereken belgeler aşağıdadır. 18 Mart Pazartesi gününe kadar katılımcıların online başvuruları tamamlaması gerekir.
   – Application Form (It must be filled online and the bank receipt must be attached to the form)
   – Bank Receipt (Only the applicant's name will be written in the explanations section of the receipt)
   – Copy of Identity Card (To be forwarded to ICS official at the stage of correspondence)
   – Biography (To be forwarded to ICS official at the stage of correspondence)

3. Katılımcılar başvuruları sırasında 16-27 yaş aralığında (27 yaş dahil) olmalıdır. Reşit olmayan katılımcılar için başvuru işlemlerinin anne, baba veya Sulh Hukuk Mahkemesi tarafından atanmış vasi tarafından yapılması gereklidir.
4. Participants must indicate their home addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses in the application form legibly. The preferred method for communication, where the applicants will be notified, is through e-mail. The applicants should check their e-mails regularly after the application and maintain uninterrupted communication with the authorities.
5. Katılımcı tarafından ilk eleme aşamasında yorumlanması istenecek eserlerin video kayıtları veya internet linklerinin, 01 Nisan 2024 Pazartesi günü saat 23.59’a kadar İKD yetkililerine ulaştırılmış ve ulaştığına dair yetkililerden teyit alınmış olmalıdır.
6. During the video recording, an oral presentation should be made by the applicant before the pieces are played, and the related piece should be interpreted after the presentation. The image and sound must be recorded in high quality from the very beginning to the end of shooting, in one piece, without any intervention or editing.
7. İlk elemeyi geçen ve yarı finale davet edilmeye hak kazanan katılımcılara 08 Nisan 2024 Pazartesi akşamına kadar bildirim gelecektir. Yarı finalistlerin performansları, İstanbul’da önceden duyurusu yapılmış bir salonda gerçekleştirilecektir.
8. Yarışma başvuruları ve yarı finali, yarışmacılar numaralandırılarak ve kimlik bilgileri saklı tutularak İKD Jürisi tarafından, yarışma finalistleri ise, İstanbul’da Maltepe Belediyesi “Türkan Saylan Kültür Merkezi” konser salonunda ve halka açık şekilde büyük jüri tarafından değerlendirilecektir.
9. Jüri üyelerinin kimlik ve ünvanları: Mustafa Doğan Dikmen (TRT İstanbul Radyosu Topluluk Şefi, İTÜ Öğr. Grv.), Hasan Esen (Besteci, TRT İstanbul Radyosu Topluluk Şefi), Atilla Gündüz (TRT İstanbul Radyosu Topluluk Şefi), Kamil Özler (Klarnet Sanatçısı, TRT Hafif Müzik ve Caz Orkestrası Şefi, İTÜ Öğr. Grv.), Ahmet Kadri Rizeli (TRT İstanbul Radyosu Topluluk Şefi, İTÜ Öğr. Grv.)
10. Jüri, finale kalan 6 yarışmacıya sırasıyla 1.’lik, 2.’lik, 3.’lük ödülleri ve diğer finalistleri onurlandırmak için mansiyon verebilir. Jüri her seviye için birden fazla kişiyi ödüllendirebilir veya bazı seviyelerde hiçbir ödül vermeyebilir. Jüri uygun gördüğü takdirde ümit vadeden 16-21 yaş aralığında bir yarışmacıya ”Jüri Özel Ödülü” verebilir.
11. Jury decisions are final and participants will not have the right to appeal. All legal regulations are included in the application form. Only the applications approved and signed by the applicant will be processed.
12. Competition awards were generously determined by prestigious instrument and accessory companies. Besides, various prizes will be given to all semi-finalists.

Competition Program

Ön Eleme : “a”, “b”, “c” ve “d” şıklarında yer alan eserler başvuru için hazırlanan video kayıtta yorumlanacaktır. Kayıt yüksek kalitede olmalı, ses ve görüntüde herhangi bir işlem; teknik müdahale, efekt ve montaj yapılmadan hazırlanmalıdır. (Bkz. Katılım koşulları / madde 6.)

Yarı Final : Aşağıda yer alan eserler yarışma yarı finalinde saz eşliğinde yorumlanacak ve bu performans ilgili jüri tarafından değerlendirilecektir.

Final: Finale kalan yarışmacılar tarafından aşağıda yer alan eserler İstanbul Klarnet Korosu ve Türk Müziği orkestrası eşliğinde seslendirilir. Bu performans final jürisi tarafından değerlendirilecektir.

Award Ceremony and Gala Concert: The award winners will perform their best pieces determined by the jury at the gala concert.

Note: After completing their applications, participants can get support from the Istanbul Clarinet Association to provide solo and accompaniment parts (relevant editions of sheet music) for compulsory and optional works, if they need it.

Istanbul Clarinet Society reserves the right to change the competition dates (application, pre-selection, semi-final and final), the list of the works to be played, the awards to be given, the halls where the competition will be held and the content of the entire organisation until the candidate applications are opened.
